Blennorrhagia

Blennorrhagia (or gonorrhea) is a sexually transmitted infection (STI) caused by the bacteria Neisseria gonorrhoeae. It is usually spread through unprotected sexual contact, including vaginal, anal and oral sex. Symptoms of blennorrhagia may include painful urination, an unusual discharge from the penis or vagina, and pain or swelling in the testicles or vulva. In some cases, there may be no symptoms at all. Complications of blennorrhagia can include pelvic inflammatory disease, infertility, and an increased risk of acquiring HIV. Treatment involves antibiotics, and it is important that both partners in a sexual relationship are treated to prevent further transmission.
