Avanafil is a prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). It belongs to a class of drugs called phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. Avanafil works by increasing blood flow to the penis, helping a man with ED to get and keep an erection. This medication can be taken with or without food. Common side effects of avanafil include headache, flushing, stuffy or runny nose, and indigestion.
