Pethidine

Pethidine is a synthetic opioid narcotic medication used to treat moderate to severe pain. Pethidine works by interacting with opioid receptors in the brain and other parts of the body to block pain signals. Side effects include nausea, dizziness, and constipation. Pethidine should not be used in pregnant women and those with severe liver or kidney disease.
