Clostebol

Clostebol, also known as 4-chlorotestosterone, is a synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS), a derivative of the natural hormone testosterone.

Medical uses:

  • Clostebol is a Schedule III controlled substance used topically in ophthalmologic and dermatologic treatments.
    • In ophthalmology, it may be used to treat conditions like vernal keratoconjunctivitis, a chronic inflammatory eye disease.
    • In dermatology, it may be used to treat pruritic (itchy) dermatoses, such as eczema and atopic dermatitis.

Important to note:

  • Due to its potential for misuse as a performance-enhancing drug, clostebol is banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
  • Clostebol can have serious side effects, especially when used improperly or in high doses. These can include:
    • Liver damage
    • Increased risk of heart problems
    • Mood swings and aggression
    • Stunted growth and development in adolescents
    • Virilization (development of male characteristics) in women

It is crucial to consult with a doctor before using any medication containing clostebol, as they can assess the potential risks and benefits and determine if it is the right treatment for you.
